Contra Costa Christian Schools’ mission has remained consistent over the last 35 years. We continue to shine the light of Christ into children through their maturity into young adults.
Despite the rising tuition of private education, tuition does not keep up with the expenses needed to support many school programs. Private schools across the nation rely on fundraising to supplement budgets and develop programs. Contra Costa Christian Schools is no different in our financial needs. In additional, CCCS is committed to serving families at a variety of income levels. We keep tuition costs at reasonable levels and provide additional tuition assistance to some families. As you consider your charitable giving options, CCCS provides an opportunity to truly impact another generation of youth and children. We want to raise up a generation that will truly make a difference in their workplaces, schools, and communities.
CCCS continues to invest in new technologies, such as new computers, software, lab equipment, etc. This is important so our students will know how to use these technologies and to discern their appropriate use. Annual giving support helps us to keep up-to-date in the area of technology.
Student organizations and clubs are the beneficiaries of annual gifts. This assistance encourages planning and scheduling of well-run activities, and an increased level of involvement among students.
Our athletic program produces excellent athletes of character, recognized for their sportsmanlike conduct on the playing field, as well as for their team and individual accomplishments. Annual giving support helps to fund new equipment, training opportunities, and use of appropriate facilities so our athletes will be better prepared to meet their competitors
Fine Arts at CCCS is a popular component of our educational experience. Students enjoy performing arts through choir, band, and drama; drawing, painting, and sculpture through fine arts. All are supported by contributions to the CCCS Fund.
CCCS desires to attract and retain the best faculty. A solid compensation package is essential. Substantial tuition discounts for children of our faculty; providing comprehensive medical/dental coverage; and annual salary increase, are all made possible from contributions to our CCCS fund.
CCCS is an organization larger in scope than just a few buildings and students. It includes faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. We have always relied on the support of contributors to help current students. We want to continue this tradition so today’s students receive the best education possible.
Participation is key to our programs; gifts need not be large, but we want as many people to help as possible. For every 10 people that give $100, it provides support for $1,000.00 in tuition assistance.
Give online using your debit or credit card.
Cash Gifts – the simplest and easiest gifts you can make – can be made through credit/debit card transactions, outright cash, personal or cashiers checks made payable to Contra Costa Christian Schools (CCCS). Gifts postmarked by December 31, 2016 will be given tax deductible receipts for the 2016 year.
Service Hours – At the beginning of every school year each family is required to pay their 30 hour service obligation amount as an upfront cost ($450.00). During the school year, many families complete this hour requirement plus more! Instead of receiving the refund at the end of the year, please consider gifting it back to CCCS. This amount alone, equates to half the tuition gap. Please contact alobo@ccccs to gift your service hour refund.
Recurring Payment Plan – Set up a one time recurring payment plan to enable your monthly gift to be debited from your chosen account automatically. Please click here for this option.
Gifts of Appreciated Securities, Stocks, and Bonds that have been held long-term and have increased in value also provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to CCCS before they are sold. Such gifts are generally deductible from income tax at their full fair market values and also avoid capital gains tax on the increase in value of the stock that would otherwise be due on a sale. If you wish to transfer stocks from a broker’s account, CCCS has a brokerage account with Charles Schwab. Please consult with your tax advisor to see how you personally can benefit. Contact Ann Lobo for more details.
Gifts of Real Estate – including personal residences, second homes, income property, and vacant land – offer a wide variety of tax benefits. By making a year-end gift of property, you can avoid the capital gains tax, and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the property.
Matching Gift Programs is an easy way to double or even triple your donation to CCCS. Many corporations offer matching gift programs, and will typically match all or a percentage of employee contributions to charitable organizations. Simply obtain a matching gift form from your employer’s personnel office, fill it out, and provide it to CCCS with your contribution.
Gift Pledges – a formal statement of intention to make a gift to CCCS. With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making regular payments over time, completed by June 30, 2017.
