Contra Costa Christian Schools welcomes students from around the world to its beautiful 8 acre campus in Walnut Creek. We have hosted students from China, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.
Contra Costa Christian Schools is registered with SEVIS, the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System and is authorized to issue I-20s to international students so that they may acquire an F-1 Visa. In addition to the regular application for admission, international students must conduct a Skype interview with our Principal and/or International Student Coordinator.
Contra Costa Christian Schools does have a limited supply of “homestays” where students live with a host family. Hosts provide accommodations, transportation and meals. Hosts also provide guidance, friendship and assistance during the student’s attendance as well as a Christian home.
Parents may submit the application after January 1. Applications, including the family interview, must be completed by April 15. After April 15, any remaining openings will be filled on a rolling admissions basis.
International students from all countries other than China should follow the procedure below. International students coming from China should work through the Cambridge Institute to apply to Contra Costa Christian Schools. We have partnered with the Cambridge Institute to help Chinese students work through the admissions process and place them appropriately in our program. If originating from China, please contact Cindy Nguyen at 714-882-1069, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or click here for student inquiries.
You may access our online application by clicking here. A current photo of your child is requested to help the Admission Committee put a face with a name! The $75 registration fee is due when the application is submitted.
We ask that you include the last two years of grade reports, translated into English, including any other testing results with your application. We do not require official transcripts directly from the student’s current school.
The student should submit a 1 page typed document that describes the student and his/her interests. The student statement will assist the Admissions Committee in making a decision that matches the student’s aptitudes and skills with our curriculum.
We must have a copy of the student’s immunization record translated into English.
In order to issue an I-20 form, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement require that all parents of applicants submit proof of their ability to support their child's studies. This documentation is usually required when applying for an F-1 visa in which case you may submit a copy of the F-1 application instead of the Confidential Financial Statement.
We accept scores from any authorized testing site. To schedule a testing date, please call 1-818-887-3888 or visit www.itepexam.com.
Once Contra Costa Christian Schools has received all above mentioned documents, you will be contacted to participate in a family interview. Admission interviews generally take about 20 minutes and are an informal, get-to-know-you time in which we will also look for English proficiency. This process will take place with a Skype interview.
Once all paperwork and interviews are complete, the school will issue a letter of acceptance if the student is approved to our program. When accepted, a deposit of $5,000 will be required before an I-20 will be mailed to the student.
