Contra Costa Christian Schools is committed to educating the next generation of youth from Christian families. CCCS seeks to grow students in all aspects of their development, including academic, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects.
This belief can be seen in the schools' Mission Statement, Core Values and Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs). CCCS firmly believes that a Christian education plays a large part in preparing the next generation for changing the world around them for Christ.
Founded in 1978 by a small group of parents representing a handful of Christian churches in the Walnut Creek area, Contra Costa Christian Schools has grown to become one of the premier Christian schools in Northern California. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, CCCS serves students from preschool through high school. While high school graduates attend some of the top colleges and universities across the nation, CCCS provides high quality instruction from a Christian perspective at every age level. Teachers are highly qualified for their respective job assignments with appropriate teaching credentials. In order to provide students with maximum opportunities to engage other schools and provide our teachers with quality resources, CCCS is a member of both the Association of Christian Schools International and Christian Schools International.
The campus draws students from over 70 different churches, across a broad geographical area, which encompasses the entire Diablo Valley region. Current enrollment includes students from as far away as the Delta region to the east, the Oakland Hills to the west and Danville and San Ramon to the south. This geographical diversity brings a broad cross-section of students to our beautiful Walnut Creek campus, located 1 mile from 680 and only about 5 minutes from the 24/680 junction.
Our goal is to partner with Christian families and churches to produce graduates who love God, view the world from His perspective and are academically, socially and spiritually equipped to be godly contributors to their communities. We not only teach students how to prepare for life, we also teach them how to live.
